Senior Consultant

Kevin Wheeler is an author, teacher, consultant and speaker. He is President of Global Learning Resources, Inc., a consulting company focused on assisting organizations architect human capital strategies for the 21st century. Global Learning Resources helps organizations attract and build world-class talent through improvements in their human resource strategies, leadership development programs and recruiting functions.

He is the author of hundreds of articles on human resource development, career development, recruiting, leadership and on corporate universities. He has contributed chapters to several books including, recently, a chapter on leadership and recruiting in “On Staffing: Advice and Perspectives for HR Leaders” published by Wiley in 2004. His book entitled The Corporate University Workbook: Launching the 21st Century Learning Organization was published by Pfeiffer, Inc., in January 2005.

Kevin spent more than 20 years in a variety of senior leadership positions at National Semiconductor Corporation, including leading the founding of National Semiconductor University. He has been the Vice President of Human Resources for Alphatec Electronics in Thailand, and the Senior Vice President of Workforce Development and Staffing at the Charles Schwab Corporation. He is the founder of two corporate universities and has an extensive International consulting practice with such organizations as Eli Lilly, Corning, Inc., Starbucks Coffee Company, Edwards Lifesciences, and Federated Department Stores, and BP, as well as with organizations in China, New Zealand, Australia and El Salvador.

He sits on a number of boards, acts as an advisor to several start-up organizations, and has been a Research Affiliate at the Institute for the Future in Menlo Park, California and at SRI International. He serves as adjunct faculty at the University of San Francisco and on the business faculty at San Francisco State University.
