Janet Schatzman is a gifted strategic illustrator who brings vivid imagery
and big-picture thinking to communicating organizations strategic direction.
She has over thirty years of experience in visual communication in the training
and development and film industries. Her ability to think in terms of systems
relationships and translate that understanding to visual maps makes her work central
to the field of organizational development and organizational change.
CLIENT PROJECTS
Created a Roadmap document for Prudential's World Wide Human Resources Roadmap
as a part of the planning process. Translated into digital format and used in
communications vehicles (newsletters, memos, progress reports) worldwide.
Creation of a map on which the drawing of a highway representing the initiatives
for Prudential leading to their specific goals using hundred's pieces of data.
The "wall" is portable and used as interactive, internal learning map.
Created and visually facilitated a one-year visioning, goal setting and strategy
implementation process for the IT department of the largest national specialty
food distribution company in the U.S. Throughout the process, the teams created
over 20 maps that were laminated and used consistently through each stage of the
process.
Created the visual roadmap used by the SAP kickoff team to map their goals
and strategies for the process. The 4' x 7' laminated mural hangs in the office
allocated for the use of the SAP team for Allied Signal.
Presently partnering with the Education and Training arm of the major communications
company to visually represent internal executive leadership classes through audio
bridge. The maps of drawn from each class are published online on a weekly basis.
Translated and created the graphic Roadmap of the change management methodology
presented in Getting Your Organization to Change (Crisp Publications, 1999). Illustrated
the text and created iconic language used to identify the major methods.
