Values in Action
High performing companies share a common characteristic:
a strong commitment to shared values. In order for every person
to be on board to produce his or her highest level of performance,
each individual contributor needs to understand and commit
to the core values.
Values alignment creates a productive state where people’s
energies are focused on achieving shared goals and carrying
out strategic initiatives, while creating sustainable value
for customers and meaningful work for themselves. Unclear
or unknown values can produce conflicts and contradictions
that make people feel confused, blocked, and frustrated.
This module guides intact teams or work groups through the
process of discovering and agreeing on a set of shared values,
and how they want to work together to achieve their collective
objectives.

- Clarify personal values in the context of work
- Gain understanding and affinity for the varied values
of team members
- Develop a shared values credo that states team’s
aspirations for their work together
- Discern behavioral descriptions of identified team values
