In her book, Creating Effective Teams,
Susan Wheelan suggests that to grow effective teams, the organization
needs to play an active role in creating an environment where
the seedlings of teams can take root and grow. In her assessment,
organizations often create work groups and focus on group
results while failing to address the role the organization
must play in nurturing the growth and success of those teams.
This module covers the characteristics of high performing
teams and how to lead your team to high performance during
team development stages and during major organizational change.
