Creating the 3rd largest oil company in the world
OVERVIEW
The client companies were embarking on a well-planned merger of equals to form
the third largest oil company in the world.
CHALLENGE
Several teams were working on the cultural and organizational integration. Coordinated
and common approaches were needed.
ACTIONS
CWG worked with key members of the two legacy companies to build upon our change
management programs to create a customized learning process composed of ten single
point learning modules.
RESULTS
This tool was widely accepted as the primary tool for preparing the global workforce
for the merger. CWG provided train the trainer sessions to ensure internal capability
for worldwide dissemination of the training. The training enabled the workforce
to lead rather than react to the inevitable pressures and complexities of combining
two huge global companies.
