Implementation of ERP
Fortune 50 company with 40 billion in sales in the pharmaceutical distribution
industry
OVERVIEW
This Fortune 50 Pharmaceutical distribution company embarked on the largest operational
initiative in its history when it made the strategic decision to design and implement
an ERP platform and business intelligence process.
CHALLENGE
When migrating to an ERP platform, two of the greatest risks
are inadequate preparation of stakeholders who need to sponsor,
lead, and make the changes, and failing to make the cultural
changes necessary to optimize a process-based system.
ACTIONS
CWG was chosen, in spirited competition, to lead the stakeholder engagement aspect
of change leadership for this three-year project. This required partnering with
the client and other consulting firms engaged for specific capabilities in order
to design a comprehensive and integrated approach that ensures successful planning
and implementation of the systems and processes.
RESULTS
The CWG team has successfully designed and is currently implementing its comprehensive
approach to engaging senior executives through end users. A customized stakeholder
toolkit has been created to build the necessary leadership capabilities for a
smooth implementation and to optimize the ERP environment.
